Flattened File

A flattened file is a file that does not have editable layers. This is usually the type of file sent to clients, as it removes the ability to adjust things after the artist is done. It can either be a file type that removes layers (like JPEGS) or a file type that includes layers, but all the layers have been merged before sending.
